Ken
Pleasance Dome, Edinburgh
An astonishing work by award-winning playwright Terry Johnson, who plays himself on stage reminiscing about his time with the great theatre maverick Ken Campbell, ably played by Jeremy Stockwell.
It was quite something seeing Ken brought to life again in this moving piece, especially with the dynamic between a stoic Johnson and such an eccentric and chaotic genius as Campbell, who quite possibly took Stockwell’s body over completely saying “I’m not mad, I’ve just read different books”.
