In his extraordinary new show Emotional Daredevil, Alexander Bennett asks us to take a risk and to put our trust in him and in his show. It’s a risk worth taking. In a beautifully structured and original format, Bennett challenges us to take risks on shows and in life and in doing so embodies the spirit of Fringe past as he pushes himself outside his own comfort zone (including some surprisingly well written and performed songs). Even if you no longer believe in the Fringe as a font of artistic endeavour, through Bennett’s vision we can take that spirit and keep it in our hearts all the year.
