Maniura’s Edinburgh debut is an original concept superbly crafted and all her character interpretations are staggeringly recognisable. She has adapted her show with a local reference which has been woven seamlessly into her finale. It is a marvellous show from a remarkable talent. As she herself says, she has a gift.

The comedians I enjoy the most are those who are visibly excited to be performing and so it is with Kathy Maniura, who anthropomorphises her objects with an enthusiasm and energy that is funny, heart-warming and engaging. She seems to have a true empathy with the inanimate and brings them to life in an original concept that is not only entertaining, but also makes the audience truly wonder how their possessions feel. I loved it, and I think my jacket did too.
