18th August, 2011 Story Shakespeare: Love’s Labours Lost C, Edinburgh This condensed and re-worked version of Shakespeare’s comedy dispensed with the Elizabethan language and introduced contemporary through-lines and jokes. Although some of the original humour was lost in translation the cast put on a good performance. As a ‘Shakespeare-inspired’ piece it was an enjoyable hour.
