Rosalie Minnitt is a British comedian, actor, and writer best known for her acclaimed character-comedy creation Lady Clementine, a chaotic Regency-era heroine who mixes period-drama parody with contemporary observations about dating, identity, and womanhood through highly theatrical, prop-filled, and audience-engaging performances.

Rosalie Minnitt: Clementine

Clementine is an extraordinary debut from an extraordinary character talent. The energetic Minnitt swept the audience up in her enthusiasm and her storytelling and we were kept wondering whether we were watching a zany, semi-psychotic semi-historical character (Minnitt drifts easily in and out of her Renaissance setting) or a cutting comment on modern socio-sexual politics. Minnitt keeps us laughing however, and the audience interaction, prop work and big gags are perfectly put together in a rightly highly-regarded show which has placed her high on the one-to-watch list.
